Our chiropractors take a multidisciplinary approach to treat our patients. They also have an extensive knowledge of sports and sports-related injuries. This means that they’re uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat an athlete’s body without the use of drugs or invasive surgical procedures. Because chiropractic medicine is defined by its hands on approach to treatment and sport-specific knowledge that addresses acute, chronic and overuse injuries, it’s becoming an increasingly popular way to stay in the game.

Whether you're an avid athlete or weekend warrior, baby boomer or mom working hard to keep up with her little ones, chiropractic care will enhance your ability to do what matters most to you. By identifying the root cause of an injury or condition, our doctors effectively treat any issue. Our focus is taking you beyond corrective care, allowing you to access optimal health and new levels of performance. We don't want to treat you for the same issue over and over again - we want to see you grow, progress and thrive.

Our doctors love treating patients who are motivated to participate in their journey to elevate and maintain their health. We're family-friendly and inclusive; whether we're helping children through their growth spurts and ever-changing developmental stages or supporting parents who're getting their bodies back in motion, we feel grateful to play a role in each family member's health. Ultimately, this treatment can benefit any and every body. Going beyond the confines of traditional chiropractic care, you can trust that when you choose our team of doctors, you're getting the best care out there.

What makes our Registered Massage Therapists different?

Their philosophy is based on the theory that pain is a symptom of something else going on in the body. This is usually coming from a movement pattern dysfunction that your body has created to compensate for weakness or pain. Typically these patterns arise from an injury, trauma, repetitive movement or sustained posture.

The body doesn’t like weakness so it pulls strength from anywhere it can to create stability. If the body does this for long enough, it can cause tissue damage leading to pain. This is effective but not efficient as it only leaves the body susceptible to future injury. The key to solving for pain is assessment.

Our therapist's treatments are assessment-focused, running you through functional movement screens, orthopaedic and muscle testing. Their goal is to correct any dysfunction with treatment and corrective exercises to get you back to peak health. They are passionate about creating change through effective treatments so you feel lasting results.

Both of our therapists are trained in Neurokinetic Therapy. NKT is a specific and efficient tool which helps our therapists find what’s driving the dysfunction creating your pain or hindering your performance.

Kinesiology at Pro Motion Clinic is a new standard in personal training, marrying clinical rehab expertise with advanced corrective exercise prescription. Our purpose is simple – to provide an industry leading, clinically supervised approach to post-rehabilitative training as well as performance training.

We recognize a gap in educating individuals about their unique physiology and designing training programs that result in effective, goal-oriented exercise. Whether it’s regaining a level of function, getting back to a sport or activity, or moving into a new level of fitness – our team of experts will get you there.

Getting back to an activity, sport or general fitness regimen after an injury can be frustrating. Understanding where to begin, how quickly to progress and what has to be done to decrease the chances of re-injury is often unclear. There are often biomechanical and musculoskeletal issues that either led to the injury or develop as a result of the injury. Assessing and correcting these deficits is often missed in the traditional training program. These corrective measures must be reinforced in order to allow you to move in an optimal manner, instinctively. Once achieved, you can get back to a normal routine with confidence in your abilities.

Vanessa graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2008. Her passion lies in working with active and athletic individuals, from weekend warriors and avid gym goers to professional athletes. Her focus is in rehabilitation and corrective care of injuries.

Vanessa was the RMT for the Okanagan College Coyotes hockey team from 2009-2012, and has worked at sporting events such as Gran Fondo, BMO Marathon Okanagan and IRONMAN events. She has also worked with professional hockey players, competitive figure skaters, swimmers, dancers and crossfit athletes.

Vanessa’s philosophy is that pain happens for a reason and feels it is important to ask the question, “Why?”. Whether the issue stems from injury or improper movement patterns, the key to finding the answer is assessment. Vanessa’s goal is to get to the root of the problem instead of only providing symptomatic relief. She has taken continuing education courses such as Movement Pattern Assessment and Corrective Exercise Training and Injury as well as all three levels of Neurokinetic Therapy and RockTape. Vanessa feels active rehab and home care is essential and as important as treatment itself.

Born and raised in Terrace, B.C., Garrett grew up living a very active lifestyle. Depending on the season, you could find him hiking, snowmobiling or skiing on local mountains; out on the boat waterskiing and tubing; or at the rink playing hockey. Along with his passion for the outdoors and sports, he was also enthusiastic about weight training and powerlifting. He graduated from The Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in July of 2022. Upon completing his licensing exam in October of 2022, he made the decision to move to Kelowna and could not be happier.

Rather than treating symptoms alone, Garrett believes in getting to the source of the problem to ensure a more long-term solution. Doing a thorough interview and assessment, along with a detailed homecare plan, is key to a complete treatment. Some of the treatment modalities Garrett implements in his practice are neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue work, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, IASTM, general Swedish massage and myofascial therapy.
